ERASMUS POLICY 2014-2020

We depend on the central services of education in Andalucía and we coordinate our mobility activities through the central office of the Junta de Andalucía in Sevilla where they organize all these matters. In our headquarters, we have a person (Mobility Advisor) responsible of Erasmus and training programs in foreign places. This person coordinates the training programs between the institutions, companies, students, and the heads of departments, teachers and advisors. For language support and training in this and other programs related with foreign languages, we have the head of bilingual programs. Finally, the management coordinates the previous related aspects.

The Erasmus scheme is advertised to staff and students. Students are informed before enrolment at our institution in prospectuses, department literature and online(by email),and at specific information sessions for students after enrolment.

a) How we choose our partners:

Establishing relations with the organizations in the selected countries, making contacts with the responsible representatives of the host organization and selecting the companies specifically for each professional profile and the students’ specialization will be one of our objectives.

Contact with Hannover: BBS14 Thomas Quiring. Staff finds travel and IT companies which students do the training.

This contact provides us the lodgment in a residence and they deposit the guarantee for all time students stay in Hannover. Also through our central services in Junta de Andalucia in Sevilla, we have a website «EREIVET» for new contacts.

b) Geographical areas:

We would like to make students capable of combining education with work experience. The project is expected to provide learning experiences in real contexts and to improve laboral skills, as well as cultural education of students in Tourism and IT.

Selection criteria:

We look for areas which give labor opportunities, such as Germany and UK.

c) The most important objectives:

The school will guarantee the maximum quality of the experience with following program:

-Publicity of the project:

Production of informative posters in the classrooms and common places, school web page, information to Students’ and Parents’ Council, student representatives, staff, etc.

-Previous meetings to detect school needs:

There will be informative meetings with students and teachers so that they get informed and the students’ needs be enclosed. The different possibilities and future projects will be explained too.

-Languages Courses:

There will be language courses so that the beneficiaries can improve their foreign language like reported previously.

-Student’s selection:

The students will be selected by their student record, linguistic skills and maturity to get adapted in different cultural environment contributing to their personal development.

-Project Assessment:

The school will meet the students periodically providing information about destinations, Learning Process, organization, accommodation, travelling, maintenance, etc.

The Advisor Tutor will be responsible for:

– Visiting the host organizations to select training companies and deciding the specific learning program for each student.

– Preparing the Learning Process including companies, institutions, needs and objectives, activities and type of work to be done by students during their learning period, evaluation and assessment which are previously designed.

– Signing Cooperation Agreements: the school and the arranged companies sign an official cooperation agreement for students who carry out their higher educational Vocational Course in companies where working and staying conditions are detailed according to the approved model by the Educational Council in the Andalusia Region.

– Students’ assessment before and during their staying: the tutor/advisor will be in contact with the beneficiaries to give them information and advice before their staying begins. Contact will be increased during their Learning Process through any kind of communication means (e-mails will be probably the most efficient).

-Checking the Student’s learning notebook/book the advisor will check the Learning book to qualify as Satisfactory so that the Learning Process can be approved.

– Processing and Applying for the Europass Mobility Document.

– Preparing a report about the fulfillment of the Learning Process where the obtained objectives must be reflected.

 Other projects related:

For the organization of cooperation projects in teaching and training in relation to mobility programs, we are enrolled in other mobility projects like “Comenius” or “Leonardo” where staff and students are exchanging experiences for these purposes since the first course of secondary school in our institution.

All the staff involved in projects of mobility has facilities to have paid special leave in order to make foreign visits for vocational training purposes.

To increase attainment levels and provide the graduates and researchers Europe needs:

Our educational project begins in secondary school teaching two specific subjects in a foreign language, besides we are enrolled in other mobility projects like “Comenius”, we want our students in high education to be prepared for the challenges Europe requires.

The regional government grants students in order to support students mobility in foreign countries.

-To improve the quality and relevance of higher education:

Hospitality and Tourism Cycles include English and French languages as professional modules in their course structure. They are offered under the English Bilingual Program. This highlights the use of this language to prepare for mobility.

We have close relations with local and regional institutions, and companies to match skills and jobs, and develop active labor market policies to promote graduate employment and enhance career guidance.

To enable more effective and personalized learning experiences, teaching and research methods (eg. eLearning and blended learning) and increase the use of virtual learning platforms.

The National System for Qualifications and Vocational Educational and Training (SNCFP) aims at promoting and developing the assessment and accreditation of professional competences in order to encourage the professional and social development of the people and to meet the needs of the productive system.

Aims: to empower workers for the labor market, to promote a quality vocational education and training, to assess and accredit officially professional qualification.

– To strength quality through mobility and cross-border co-operation:

The National System for Qualifications and Vocational Educational and Training (SNCFP) aims at promoting and developing the assessment and accreditation of professional competences in order to encourage the professional and social development of the people and to meet the needs of the productive system.

Aims: to empower workers for the labour market,to promote a quality vocational education and training,to assess and accredit officially professional qualification.

– To make the  knowledge triangle work: Linking higher education, research and business for excellence and regional development:

We are promoting the systematic involvement of higher education institutions in the development of integrated local and regional  development plans, and target regional support towards higher education-business cooperation particularly for  the  creation of regional hubs of excellence and specialization.

-Improving governance and funding:

We are supporting the development of strategic and professional higher education leaders, and ensure that higher education institutions have the autonomy to set strategic direction, manage income streams, reward performance to attract the best teaching and research staff, set admissions policies and introduce
